And they are off… July 19, 2012
A team of 7 have begun their cycle from London to Paris to raise money for Architecture Sans Frontières-UK (ASF-UK). They have 4 days of cycling ahead of them before they arrive in the french capital for the final day of the Tour de France in order to raise funds for local Cameroonian participants to be part of our international workshop this summer.
The workshop will be implemented in partnership with Cameroon Catalyst, a UK based charity and the Mosame Trust, a Cameroon based charity working in Eastern Cameroon. Cameroon Catalyst and the Mosame Trust would like to understand the impact of their projects and to develop a clear plan of action which is driven by the local community for the next stages of the programme. This has led to the development of a programme for a Participatory Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation workshop in August 2012. For more details see: http://www.asf-uk.orgarchives/1070.
So far they have cycled to Dover, caught and earlier ferry than expected and are now cycling from Calais onwards. Keep an eye on twitter for their latest progress!
Good luck team ASF!0
