Challenging Practice Stage A Seminar in Manchester, 18-19 November 2017 September 22, 2017
Challenging Practice is an independent-learning programme that seeks to enable built environment professionals to develop the knowledge required to engage with vulnerable groups in an urban context, and to engage reflexively with the challenges of international development in the urban global South.
ASF-UK will be running a Stage A weekend seminar in November 2017 to enable participants to reflect on their knowledge gained from the preparatory readings of the Introduction through case studies, facilitated discussions, interactive scenario building, and role plays.
Title: Challenging Practice Stage A: Learning in Action
Dates: 18-19th November, 10am-5pm
Location: BDP, 11 Ducie Street, Piccadilly Basin, Manchester, M1 2JB
Cost: £100 if you are working / £80 if you are a student or unemployed

Over the two days we will cover in depth the three key principles of community engagement (participation, discrimination, and sustainable approaches), one built environment principle (eg. land tenure) and two project implementation tools (eg. theoretical frameworks and partnership) through participatory exercises, real-life scenarios and role play.
