Change by Design: London report launch event 2015 December 14, 2015

On the 30th November, ASF-UK in partnership with UCL, DPU and the Urban Lab, hosted the launch of the Change by Design: London Report.  The evening began with an introduction to ASF-UK and a presentation of the findings from the one week ASF-UK Change by Design:London workshop held in September 2014 which developed collective imaginations for contested sites in Euston.

The second part of the event brought together representatives from Camden Council, Citizens UK, ASF-UK and local residents to discuss and reflect on the experience of engaging with existing community participation processes in Euston.  The final session of the evening invited urban participatory practitioners and organisations to engage in a wider reflection and debate about how to facilitate meaningful community participation in large-scale urban development processes.

Thank you to everyone that joined us in this debate, it was a fantastic event which drew out a lot of current thinking and practice approaches towards producing more equitable processes of development.  A special thank you to Jordan Rowe from Urban Lab for providing the space and support for the event and to all the speakers and chairs who contributed to the evening debate:
