On the back of celebrating our 25th year, STOCKWOOL is pleased to announce the launch of our 2015 charitable programme.

With the aim of improving the living conditions of the capital’s most deprived people, we will be working with various London based housing charities to raise awareness and funds for their causes. We hope to build long-term relationships with our chosen organisations by participating in events, volunteering and campaigning. To get the ball rolling, in March, ten of our staff will take on the Vertical Rush challenge, racing up the 932 steps of Tower 42 to raise money for Shelter.

We are also proud to be a Gold Sponsor of Architecture Sans Frontières-UK, which works tirelessly to make community and international development issues integral to the practice and teaching of architecture. As well as supporting the cause by getting involved in their projects, the team will have the opportunity to learn about their work through seminars and workshops.

All of us at STOCKWOOL are fundamental to this programme’s success and we hope that by engaging with the charities we will further their understanding of homelessness and development issues and be inspired to make a difference.

STOCKWOOL is a 60-strong architectural and urbanism practice formed in 1989 with an established reputation for maximising the potential of each project, adding value through leadership, teamwork and vision. Much of the Practice’s work involves close working with registered providers, local government authorities and public and private sector clients to bring forward housing-led mixed-use schemes. The focus of their work has been predominantly on the regeneration of brownfield sites, with both new buildings as well as the re-use of existing buildings, ensuring both townscape enhancement and economic regeneration.
