Célia studied architecture in Lisbon, Portugal and completed her degree in 2005. She has since built a solid career comprising of a good balance of professional and academic skills in the field of architecture and the built environment. She has done an MSc in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Buildings and presently is on the verge of completing a PhD on low-income housing in Luanda (Angola) with a focus on sustainability, both at Oxford Brookes University. Professionally Célia has worked in a variety of companies that specialise in efficient use of resources as well as combating poverty and vulnerability worldwide. This experience has been further enriched by working successfully in different international environments and cross-cultural backgrounds. Célia’s personal and professional aim is to utilise her expertise to contribute positively and at any level towards the betterment of disadvantaged communities and individuals around the world.
