Emily Wright

Emily studied Part I architecture at Oxford Brookes University, graduating in 2014. She first became involved with ASF-UK during the summer of 2013 when she undertook an internship in Ghana, working on the design of a fair trade garment production facility for local NGO Global Mamas, and exploring how to meaningfully engage the building’s users in the design process. Having previously completed a degree in Social and Political Sciences prior to starting her architectural training, Emily is particularly interested in the role that architectural design can play in international development, and in the intersection between architecture and wider social issues. She is currently working for BGS Architects in Oxford, where she is enjoying working on projects that call for sensitive design in the historic context of the city.
