ASF-UK is expanding its projects in London and we are growing our core team to help deliver our programme over the next year.

ASF-UK has grown and evolved with the support of an experienced, creative and effective team of volunteer Members and Associates. Since 2014 we have been working in partnership with Citizens UK to support London communities deliver just and equitable regeneration through our Change by Design programme.

Now entering our sixth year working in the capital, we are looking for passionate individuals  to help us capture the value of our work to date and deliver an exciting programme with our partners over the year ahead.

We are looking for volunteers that are enthusiastic, committed to the ASF-UK vision and mission, proactive, with the ability to work independently but also a clear disposition to work collectively within a team.

Our volunteers will typically have a background in one or more of the following areas: urban planning, urban design, architecture, social development, urban studies, international development, humanitarian, education, strategic and service design, design for social innovation, public art, information design, but we welcome individuals from other disciplines as well.

Member call-out: 

Our Members contribute ideas, time and inspiration in the day to day running of the organisation. We are looking to establish a core group of Members with experience in various disciplines to actively contribute to our London projects on an ad hoc basis.

As part of the Change by Design London team, your tasks may include supporting the planning and delivery of learning & capacity development initiatives and live projects, supporting Associates to facilitate workshops, produce reports and publications or support our communications and fundraising activities. Members may be asked to contribute between 5 and 10 hours per month.

Members will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of ASF-UKs Change by Design Programme (more info here www.asf-uk.org/programmes/change-by-design ) and preference will be given to applicants who have completed Challenging Practice Stage A.

Please send us your CV and an expression of interest (max 300 words), outlining your motivation for joining the ASF-UK, what relevant experience you have, and what you feel you can contribute to the Change by Design programme in London. Please also include how much time per month you feel you can commit and which days/evenings work best for you.
